The Voice Season 3 Episode 1 NBC is expanding "The Voice" season 3 premiere to a third night. The network has previously scheduled a two-hour blind auditions episode to air on Monday, September 10 at 8 P.M. and a hour-long installment for Tuesday, September 11 at 8 P.M.
As a fan of all the chair-swiveling that goes on during the earlier episodes The Voice Season 3 Episode 1 of NBC's singing competition The Voice, I consider it good news to learn that NBC is set to offer a triple-dose of the musical show next week. But the downside to this news is that the third episode will present an overlap with a certain other singing competition series.
The Voice Season 3 Episode 1 NBC announced today that they're tacking on a third episode to The Voice's Season 3 premiere week. The first three episode of the series will air on Monday (Sept. 10 at 8-10 p.m.), Tuesday (Sept. 11 at 8-9 p.m.) and Wednesday (Sept. 12 at 8-9 p.m.). The Wednesday episode will pose some opposition to Fox's premiere of the second season of The X Factor, which kicks off Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m.
Of the two series, The Voice Season 3 Episode 1 I'd rank The Voice's audition rounds above The X Factor's. While both competitions involve a process that has four mentors working with various aspiring singers, The Voice has the added appeal of the Blind Audition process, which has the judges seated in chairs, with their backs facing the auditioners. They turn their chair around if they want to work with that singer, based on the person's voice alone, and if more than one judge turns, the auditioner decides which mentor they want to work with.
The Voice Season 3 Episode 1 As fun as the Blind Auditions are, The X Factor has undergone a number of changes, including replacing judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul with Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. With The Voice already having aired two episodes by the time The X Factor's second season premieres, I could see fans of both shows choosing to watch The X Factor live (and DVR The Voice) to see how Fox's big premiere goes.
There's also the matter of the host (or hosts). The Voice Season 3 Episode 1 Steve Jones won't be hosting The X Factor for Season 2, and while there have been rumors about replacements and the possibility of two co-hosts taking the stage, nothing official has been announced. Perhaps Fox is saving that information until closer to the premiere. With one week to go, I expect we'll hear something soon. In the meantime, anticipate a lot of singing on network TV next week no matter what!
The Voice Season 3 Episode 1 The Peacock is now adding a third episode to air in the premiere week, on Wednesday, September 12 at 8 P.M. to be exact. Filling the spot of an "America's Got Talent" repeat, the episode will be up against the first hour of "The X Factor (US)" season 2 premiere on FOX.
Commenting on NBC's decision, The Voice Season 3 Episode 1 "X Factor" creator Simon Cowell brands it "a cynical, cold-hearted, unprofessional way of doing business" and "nothing short of dirty tricks." He additionally tells TMZ, "The reason they've done this is they don't want people to see 'X Factor' because they've heard how good the series is. They don't want their audience to see Britney Spears. They don't want their audience to see Demi Lovato."
The Voice Season 3 Episode 1 In addition to Christina, "The Voice" judges consist of Cee-Lo Green,Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. The new season will introduce some new twists, including the "Coach's Steal" which will allow each coach to take up to two contestants who have already been eliminated during the battle rounds and add them to their team. Producer Mark Burnett also unveiled there would be "Knockout Rounds", in which the teams will be narrowed down to just five members before they start the live episodes.
Country superstar Blake recently opened up how the changes would add more pressure to the competition. "There's nothing that's more nerve-wracking than knowing, 'OK, both these singers did really good and I gotta pick one and I know damn good and well one of these other three are gonna steal the person I don't pick'," he told Rolling Stone.
"There's a chance that person may go on and win this and that's gonna make me look really stupid. That definitely goes on in your mind. As an artist and somebody on television I have enough of an ego that I don't want to look that stupid. I want to look brilliant," he further shared.
